I'm a psychiatric RN who has been active in issues involving human rights and child abuse.  I'm a former vice-president of the Kansas Coalition Against the Death Penalty and have twice been arrested for protests against this particular human rights violation.  I am a member of no political pary, but have been a vocal critic of the recent turn away from American principles represented by the policies and attitudes of our last three presidents (as well as Congress over that period), especially George W. Bush.

My other interests include film, travel, photography, science, history and sports.
